ABOUT

Sebastian Rivera is a Puerto Rican multi-disciplinary creative, music producer, and composer based in Los Angeles, California. Blending sound, storytelling, and visual artistry, Sebastian’s work spans the realms of music, film, and design, showcasing his ability to create immersive, emotionally resonant experiences.

As a music producer, Sebastian has collaborated with celebrated Latin artists, including Ñengo Flow, Syko El Terror, Jeimy Osorio and more. He is a founding member of musical collective Cometta, executive-producing and creative directing their critically acclaimed debut album, Vol. 1, which garnered millions of streams across platforms, independently. His work in music evolved naturally into film scoring, debuting in 2020 with the soundtracks for Sponge, Mr. Sleep, and Hunter, directed by Val Vega. His ability to bring narratives to life through sound and music has earned him a reputation as a versatile storyteller.

Sebastian’s dedication to innovation earned him the 2022 Rising Artist’s Foundation grant, Overtones, where he trained under the guidance of Nicolas Jaar (FKA Twigs, Darkside) while engaging in workshops with visionaries like Moses Sumney, Nosaj Thing, and Alex Goose. His solo musical venture debuted under Jaar’s record label, Other People, earning recognition in Flaunt Magazine and BBC Radio 6 for his collaborative single “Broken Phone” with BRZ and Umbra Abra.

In 2023, Sebastian further showcased his versatility by scoring Melao, Val Vega’s latest short film, while also serving as associate producer. Melao had its premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, as part of the Oscar qualifying Holly Shorts Film Festival. Additionally, he contributed instrumentation to Mara Has Three Jobs in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and screened alongside major studio films like Blue Beetle and Barbie.

Beyond music and film, Sebastian brings his creative vision to visual storytelling, collaborating on graphic design projects and lending his expertise to multi-medium artistic ventures. He has collaborated on projects for major labels including: Republic Records, RCA, Warner, Atlantic Records and Rimas.
